Ifeanyi Ubah emerges winner of Anambra South Senatorial election

The candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for Anambra South Senatorial District, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, has won the Saturday’s election conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Ubah who is the CEO of Capital Oil and Gas Ltd, defeated the incumbent senator Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nicholas Ukachukwu (Ikukuoma) of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and Andy Uba’s brother, Chris Uba of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) among others.

In the seven local governments that made up the Anambra South Senatorial District, Ifeanyi Ubah of YPP came first with a total of 87108 votes while Nicholas Ukachukwu of APGA came second with a total votes of 50540.

Also, Chris Uba of PDP scored a total of 41786 votes while the senator representing the district, Andy Uba of APC, came last with a total votes of 13399.
