No fewer than three persons has been confirmed dead following an attack by the Boko Haram members on the convoy of Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State.
According to reports, the attack occurred on Tuesday when the governor was on his way to Gamboru-Ngala for a political rally.
It was also gathered that many people are still missing while the three who died at the spot are members of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Though available reports showed that many other supporters lost their lives during the attack, no confirmation on the number of those supporters has been made at the time of publishing this report.
Col. Ado Isa, a spokesman for 7 Division of the Nigerian Army, Maiduguri, said that no report has been sent by the military formations around the area of the attack.
