Manchester City has retuned to the top of premier league table, dropping Chelsea to sixth in goal difference in a match that ended 6 – 0 on Sunday.
Chelsea are now behind Arsenal on goal scored after suffering their heaviest defeat in any competition since losing 0 – 7 to Nottingham Forest in April 1991.
With ball possession of 56% to 44%, the City were able to maintain their lead with 4 goals to nil in their first half and additional 2 goals in second half.
Raheem Sterling scored the first goal at the four minutes, while Sergio Aguero scored at 13 and 19 minutes before Ilkay Gundogan finished the first half scoring at 25 minutes.
Sergio Aguero completed his hat-trick after scoring a penalty on the 56 minutes of second half while Raheem Sterling equally scored on the 80 minutes.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are now on the fourth position in the league table after winning Fulham 3 – 0 at the weekend.
