Nwosu blames Okorocha for the plight of Imo pensioners

The Action Alliance (AA) governorship candidate in Imo State, Uche Nwosu, has blamed the Governor Rochas Okorocha for the plight of pensioners in the state.

Nwosu who served as Chief of Staff to Governor Okorocha stated this through the Director of Media and Publicity of his campaign organisation, Onwuasoanya Jones.

He noted that he could have done something if he had the powers during his service to Chief of Staff, stressing that all decision implementations lies on the governor.

“My duty as Chief of Staff was to make suggestions while the state governor decides whether to implement such suggestions or not.”

Nwosu, who is a son in-law to Governor Rochas Okorocha, acknowledged the fact that Imo pensioners are suffering, noting that end their predicament if voted in to power.

“I know what the problems are and I also understand the predicament of the present administration in solving that problem once and for all.

“Some of these pensioners are the teachers that taught us. Others served us in different capacities, in the civil service.

“Now that they are old and retired, they deserve to be paid without hassles. I shall step on toes, no matter how big those toes are to make sure their legitimate entitlements are cleared,” he added.
