Policemen deployed to fight Boko Haram flee from training

No fewer than 190 policemen who were mobilised to fight Boko Haram insurgents have fled from the Nigerian Army Special Forces Training School in Buni Yadi, Yobe State.

According to reports, the officers absconded with their ammunitions and other official equipments, posing serious security threats in the country.

The fleeing officers have been declared wanted following an order from the Force Headquarters, Abuja, calling for their arrest and prosecution.

Recall that the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, recently drafted 2000 police officers to support military efforts against the terrorist group.
