El-Zakzaky: We’ll Overthrow Buhari And Teach Nigeria Good Lesson – Iran
- by Expresgist
Thousands of Iranians have protested against the Federal government’s continued detention of the leader of Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.
The protesters who are carrying different placards chanting “Free free Zakzaky”, also threatened to overthrow President Muhammadu Buhari and deal with Nigeria.
Speaking to newsmen, the leader of the protest warned that El-Zakzaky’s continued detention will spell doom for the nation.
“The judge of Nigeria ordered that Zakzaky and his members to be freed but the government didn’t listen to that and so we are calling on them to free Zakzaky.
“The government of Nigeria should know that it cannot keep Zakzaky forever in the detention and in jail, In Sha Allah, by overthrowing the tyrannical government, we will free Zakzaky and teach Nigeria and its people a good lesson,” he said.
Recall that the leader of Shi’a Muslims has been in detention since 2015, despite court orders calling for his release.
Thousands of his followers have lost their lives to security operatives during protests.
Amnesty International and other rights groups have also demanded for El-Zakzaky’s release as well as investigation into the clashes between his members and security agents.
However, the federal government has taken little or no action to douse the tension while Nigerian soldiers have continued to clampdown on Shiites during protest.
