Former Minister of Solid Minerals, Kayode Fayemi, has been sworn in as the governor of Ekiti State.
Kayode, who contested under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), emerged winner of the governorship election in the state.
He defeated other contenders, including a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Olusola Eleka, who came second in the contest.
His inauguration took place on Tuesday, in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
He took his oath of office in the presence of party members and supporters who graced the occasion.
Before now, Fayemi has ruled the state, hence he cannot contest for the same post again after completing one term.
