Reactions Trail Adams Oshiomhole’s Election Rigging Gaffe

APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole spotted dancing at the party’s rally

Prominent Nigerians have taking to social media to act against a rigging remark made by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole on National TV.

Oshiomohle while responding to questions on Channels TV, said, “I think that for democracy to flourish, only people who can afford the pain of rigging (sorry defeat) should partake in elections.”

However, the statement does not go well with many Nigerians especially coming barely 48 hours to the just concluded Osun governorship election, which was widely reported as massively rigged.

The opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), said Oshiomhole’s revelation validates the position of PDP that APC has adopted rigging as the only means of winning elections.

Equally, a former aid to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri took to his Twitter handle to condemn the statement.

Omokri, who had earlier stated that PDP candidate was rigged out in Osun rerun, said that he has been vindicated.

Also, in his reaction, former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, said that “if this is not what is known as a Freudian slip then I don’t know what is.”
