Why I Said Nnamdi Kanu Is ‘Safe And Well’ In UK – Kalu

Former Governor of Abia State, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, has giving reasons for his earlier assertion on the whereabout of the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

Recall that Kalu had on Tuesday in Minna, Niger state, told journalists that Kanu is safe in the United Kingdom.

However, in his reaction, a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, described Kalu’s claim as false.

He maintained that the IPOB leader, who was declared missing after the invasion of the military in his home, is not “safe and well” as claimed by Kalu.

The former minister further noted that only the Nigerian military, who “abducted Nnamdi Kanu” can provide him.

But Kalu on Wednesday, September 19, took to his Twitter handle to state the reasons for his statement.

He pointed out that he “was the first to visit Kanu when he was abandoned by all in detention.”

Kalu further noted that as a facilitator of Kanu’s release from detention, he is in a good position to know his whereabout.
