Court Remands Man For Selling Late Sister’s House In Lagos

Ejibo magistrate court has remanded one Mr. Pius Okaeben in prison custody, for allegedly selling his dead sister’s (Mrs Martha Okaeben) house without the consent of the owner.

The house, located at 18 Stoke Kazeem Street, Sunbo bus stop, Idimu, Lagos, was allegedly sold at a whooping cost of 12million naira.

According to reports, Pius conspired and sold the house to one Mr. Olurunfemi when the burial of his late sister was ongoing in their village.

However, trouble started when the deceased children returned from burial and was denied entry into their house.

The matter became an issue as both claimants of the house had a valid documents.

When reported to the police, it was discovered that the deceased brother sold the house to Mr. Olorunfemi.

The police then trailed and arrested the seller and one agent Waisu Agoro Olorunfemi and charged them to court.

They pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of N12m with two sureties in like sum.

The matter was adjourned till October 8, 2018, while the dual were remanded in prison custody pending when they perfect their bail conditions.
