Obiano Swiftly Deploys Efforts To Fix Carved Road

Ongoing repay works at Nibo-Umuawulu-Awgbu road

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has deployed efforts to fix the Nibo-Umuawulu-Awgbu road that caved in yesterday, September 4.

This is coming less than 24 hours after the distressed call by residents of the community.

Expresgist had on Tuesday, September 4, reported the cutting of the road into two following a heavy downpour.

In a swift reaction to the call, Akpokuodike Aguleri on Wednesday September 5, sent response team to the area.

“Willie is still Working. We hoped for this response but not too quick. God bless him,” Ekene Igele, an indigene of Umuawulu happily told our reporter.

Another resident identified as Jude, said that the “quick response confirms that he lives up to his name – Working Willie.”

He further appealed for a more quality road in the state, noting that the heavy rainfall being witnessed across the state can easily affect weak pavement.
