A resident of Umuawulu town in Anambra State has raised alarm over what he described as incessant threats posed on the community by erosion.
The Nibo-Umuawulu-Awgbu road which link commuters within communities in Awka, is said to have been divided into two following a heavy downpour on Monday night, September 3.
Mbonu Chinedu, who stated this in his Facebook timeline, noted that many have been displaced by the flood.
Chinedu further disclosed that commuters now find it difficult to cross over to the other communities and make their daily dealings.
He appealed for government’s quick intervention to the area, expressing fear that any delay to fix the road could be dangerous, as people of the area are now living in fear.
