Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, is allegedly making plans to dump his party All Progressives Congress, APC.
Daily Post reports that governor Ambode’s political future may not be guaranteed in his party following an alleged withdrawal of support by the National Leader of the party, Bola Tinubu.
The report further stated that the governor has since met with his commissioners and aides as his defection plan thickens.

However, it is not known which political party the governor is planning to move into.
Recall that Ambode defeated his close rival, Jimi Agbaje of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2015 governorship race in the state.
His victory saw the APC retaining the state as he succeeded former governor Babatunde Fashola of the same party who ruled the state for 8 years.
