Residence has shown lack of interest in the just concluded Local Governments election in Imo State.
The exercise which is conducted today, Saturday, August 25, saw low turnout as voters were merely present at their polling units to perform their civic responsibility.
Notwithstanding the order by the state government restricting movement, traders and motorists were seen going about their normal business in defiance to the order.
“Since the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA are not contesting, there is no need participating in the said election.
“Definitely a winner must emerge after the exercise which is believed to be a one party exercise,” said one Promise Okere.
