The Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, has described the convener of pan-Niger Delta Forum, Chief Edwin Clark as his father-figure.
Saraki made this statement on Saturday evening, August 18, through his official twitter handle, @bukolasaraki
The number three citizen had paid a solidarity visit to the Niger Delta Leader.
The visit, Expresgist learned, may not be unconnected to Saraki’s intention to run for the highest seat in the country.
The senator, who has been at loggerheads with the ruling party after his defection, is believed to be working out modalities for the seat of the presidency.
Though he has not made his intentions known, his visits to prominent as well as past Nigerian leaders, suggests that the number three citizen will definitely declare for presidency.
Meanwhile, Chief Clark has promised to stand by the embattled senator in his current travails.
He made the revelation few days ago in a statemant he signed by himself.
Part of the statement reads: ”Today, I have a duty to stand by my son Dr Bukola Saraki, and also defend him, from any act of persecution, aimed at destroying hi illustrious political carrier and his father’s rich legacy”.
