The presidency has opened public complaints channels to investigate and redress grievances and complaints of citizens against the police unit, Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
According to a statement released on her twitter page, the presidency urges aggrieved members of the public to report any violation of their rights by SARS through any of the channels which include phones numbers and social media platforms.
This is coming few days after the AgP Yemi Osinbajo directed the police IG, Ibrahim Idris, to immediately overhaul the management and activities of the unit following the increased reports of human right violation against the police unit.
In compliance with the presidential directives, IGP however, commenced with the implementation few hours after the directive.
