Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki has called on President Muhammadu Buhari’s led federal government to institute an independent judicial panel of inquiry to look into last Tuesday’s siege at the National Assembly by the operatives of DSS.
Saraki who made this known on Tuesday, August 14 through his twitter handle said that “only thorough and neutral investigation can answer the question posed by the invasion.”
The siege which attracted different reaction from Nigerians and international bodies later saw the DG DSS, Lawal Daura relinquished of his duty by Ag. Prof Yemi Osinbajo.
Saraki, however, had earlier in a speech he delivered at World Press Conference, condemned the invasion and pledge to continue to fight impunity and injustice no matter whose ox is gored while thanking Nigerians for standing up to defend the Nation’s democracy.
