Nigerian Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo has congratulated five young Nigerian girls who won the 2018 Technovation World Pitch in California after developing a mobile application called FD Detector, which can be used to tackle challenges of fake pharmaceutical products in Nigeria.
The girls (Promise Nnalue, Adaeze Onuigbo, Nwabuaka Ossai, Jessika Osita and Vivian Okoye) all from Regina Pacies Secondary School, Anambra State, beat 115 countries that participated in the qualifiers and 12 teams for the final rounds to win Gold Medal in the contest.
Reacting to the award via his twitter handle, the vice president believes that the young ladies would go far in life while thanking them for making Nigeria proud.
